Did your candidate win?
We get wrapped up in presidential elections for months leading up to the big event. After the election, roughly half of us are happy with the results and the other half are upset. What did we really expect? That one candidate could change the course of our country, create jobs, and make our own lives significantly better?
I like the words of John F. Kennedy who said “Ask not what this country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. If you want real change in this country, get involved and help make your corner of it a little better.
The Holiday Season is upon us, and there are people all over who need your help. Find a charity or non-profit that needs your help and get involved. Look for others in need and help them.
I have been inspired through the years by people in our community such as Wayne and Marti Huizenga who graciously donated their time and money to help others. But you don’t have to be a billionaire to help – I got involved after seeing people like me donate their time and energy so that others could have the same opportunities I have had.
